Solidity Construction Ltd. is seeking a motivated and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can independently complete residential and commercial electrical installations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential and commercial construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
- Install service equipment, distribution panels, lighting systems, receptacles, switches, and controls.
- Complete rough-in and finishing electrical work.
- Install and terminate branch circuits, feeders, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and local regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Identify and resolve electrical deficiencies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience with new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with custom residential homes.
- Commercial construction experience.
- First Aid and Fall Protection certifications.
- Experience supervising apprentices.
- CSTS, WHMIS, and elevated work platform certifications.
Compensation & Benefits
