Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Persona Support Workers to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. This role involves supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients' lives.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment
- Support clients with dementia or cognitive impairments through engaging activities and companionship
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure client safety during transfers or repositioning
- Document care provided and communicate any concerns or changes in condition to healthcare professionals
- Support clients during outings or appointments as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Certification in medication administration or caregiving is mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if necessary
- Must pass background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations
