Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team at Timeout market. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and safety standards
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow all food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving and food service procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, particularly in a kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
