Position Overview
As a Marina and Boat Yard Attendant, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the marina, boat yard, and gas dock. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to our clients while helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient marina environment.
Responsibilities
· Provide outstanding customer service to marina clients and visitors.
· Assist with marina and boat yard operations.
· Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
· Assist with vessel movements and general boat yard activities.
· Assist the Travelift Operator with vessel haul-outs and launches, including providing direction, spotting, and helping position and block vessels safely while on dry land.
· Perform fueling operations at the gas dock.
· Handle cash transactions and operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the marina, boat yard, and fuel dock areas.
· Safely lift, carry, and move materials, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily marina, boat yard, and fuel dock operations.
· Assist clients with docking, wayfinding, and general marina inquiries.
· Follow all marina safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Previous forklift operating experience is required.
· Cash handling and POS system experience is required.
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required.
· Ability to safely lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis.
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and vessels.
· Boating or marina experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Schedule
· Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
· Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays as required during the peak boating season.
· Additional hours may be available during peak boating periods.
· Schedule flexibility is required to support marina operations and customer needs.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
