Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems efficiently and safely, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as experience operating heavy equipment and hand tools. The Solar Installer will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality solar solutions for our clients.
Duties
- Install solar panels, mounting systems, and electrical components according to project specifications and safety standards
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to prepare sites for installation
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, secure, and connect solar components
- Perform electrical wiring tasks involving low voltage systems with precision and adherence to electrical codes
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar arrays
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on installed systems as needed
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and welding skills preferred
- Electrical experience, particularly in low voltage wiring and system connections
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, rigging, and safety equipment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including bucket trucks, low voltage systems, and welding tools safely and effectively
- Prior experience with rigging, bucket operation, or heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred

Pay: $20.00-$35.48 per hour
