About the Role
As a key member of our clinical and optical team, you'll work alongside our optometrists to deliver exceptional patient care while helping patients find vision solutions that best meet their needs. This role offers a rewarding combination of clinical support, patient education, and optical dispensing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for comprehensive eye examinations.
- Perform pre-testing and accurately document findings using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assist optometrists throughout the patient journey to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
- Educate patients about lens options, coatings, contact lenses, and eyewear solutions.
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their visual needs, lifestyle, and personal style.
- Adjust, fit, troubleshoot, and repair eyewear as needed.
- Provide outstanding customer service from check-in through eyewear delivery.
- Schedule appointments, process insurance claims, and support front desk operations.
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment.
- Stay current with new lens technologies, frame collections, and industry best practices.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience working in an optometry clinic or optical dispensary.
- Is an experienced Optician (licensed or eligible for licensing is an asset) or an experienced Optometric Assistant.
- Enjoys building genuine relationships with patients and providing personalized care.
- Has strong optical knowledge and confidence recommending products based on patients' visual needs.
- Is comfortable working with electronic medical records and clinic technology.
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a busy schedule.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment while also working independently.
- Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning.
