A Bread Affair is hiring enthusiastic Farmers Market Sales Representatives for the spring and summer season across the Greater Vancouver area. This is a part-time role with 2-3 shifts per week, on weekends, with start times as early as 6:30 a.m.
We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors year-round in rain, shine, or Vancouver chill. You’ll be the face of BC’s first certified organic bakery, connecting with market customers and sharing your love of real, local bread.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and take down market displays, tents, and bread products.
- Drive a company vehicle to and from assigned farmers markets (Class 5 driver’s license required).
- Engage warmly with customers, share product knowledge, and offer samples.
- Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash and card transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels throughout the market day and report sellouts or issues.
- Support promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Keep the booth clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
- Represent A Bread Affair with professionalism and enthusiasm in every interaction.
Requirements:
- Available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays Thursdays and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), with early morning start times.
- FoodSafe certification preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage time well.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs (20 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
