We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Class 5 BC Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive driving instruction to students seeking their Class 7& 5 license, ensuring they develop safe and confident driving skills. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on new drivers' lives while sharing your expertise in a professional and supportive environment. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective driving lessons to students preparing for their Class 7or 5 BC licensing exam.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve driving skills
- Ensure all instructional activities comply with provincial licensing standards and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and safety on the road
- Stay updated on current traffic laws, regulations, and best practices in driver education
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in driver education or classroom settings, is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback
- Demonstrated ability to engage with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and lesson planning
- Passion for teaching and promoting safe driving practices
- Certification or licensing as a driving instructor from icbc is mandatory.
- Must be legally able to work in British Columbia and hold a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Must have held a full Class 5 licence for a minimum of 5 years with a clean driving record.
- Ideally, you own a vehicle five years old or less. If the vehicle is older but in excellent condition both inside and out, Aria Driving will review it to determine if it meets program standards.
- GLT ( instructor licence ) endorsement is an asset.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
