Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, technical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently. The HVAC Technician will play a vital role in ensuring optimal indoor climate control and system performance, contributing to the safety and comfort of our clients.
Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for system installation and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain lines or refrigerant piping.
- Weld components as needed for repairs or system modifications.
- Repair or replace boilers and other related mechanical equipment.
- Utilize appliance repair skills for troubleshooting related household or commercial appliances connected to HVAC systems.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all work activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in HVAC system installation, repair, or maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Mechanical or construction background preferred; experience as a mechanic is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HVAC-specific components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and control systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Valid certification or license in HVAC or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
