Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and help maintain and enhance outdoor spaces for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor construction, with a strong focus on quality and safety. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing a range of tools and equipment to deliver exceptional landscape maintenance and installation services.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor environments
- Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers for site preparation and construction projects
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks related to gardening, planting, and landscape construction
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and optimal performance
- Assist with landscape installation projects, including soil preparation, planting, and hardscape work
- Support general construction activities related to landscape projects, adhering to safety standards and project specifications
Skills
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for landscaping tasks
- Has an interest to learn and practice proper landscape construction techniques and site preparation processes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
- Good communication skills to follow instructions accurately and report on project progress
- Manitoba Drivers Licence Is preferred but not absolutely necessary.
