Job Title: CNC Boring Mill Operator

Job Summary:
Platinum Tool Technologies is seeking a CNC Boring Mill Operator to join our machining department team. The successful candidate will be responsible for set ups, programming, and operating CNC Boring Mill to rough cut, pocketing, sizing, drill, bore, ream, tap, and face various sized metal work pieces according to customer specifications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set-up, and operate CNC Boring Mill to cut, drill, bore, ream, tap, and face various sized metal work pieces.
Through the use of CAM software and provided work instructions you will determine the machining applications required to suit workpiece specifications.
Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions of machined parts and ensure adherence to specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC Boring Mill equipment, fluid top ups.
Work with other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Follow all health and safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
Minimum education level preferred is Grade 12 or equivalent.
Completion of a Machining or Mould/Die Making course through a recognized College or other learning institute.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in programming with PowerMill, setting up with FCS, and operating CNC Boring Mill.
Strong mathematical skills, familiarity with Fanuc Controls.
Good attendance record, good analytical skills, and physical ability to handle all tools and equipment as necessary.
Ability to work overtime as required and operate overhead crane & hoist systems safely.
