Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The Industrial Electrician will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance within our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery such as HVAC systems, boilers, welding equipment, and other industrial machinery.
- Conduct analysis to identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks as needed, including basic welding and mechanical repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and operational efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal teams by addressing electrical issues efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician within manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, low voltage wiring, and analysis skills.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, boilers, welding, and general industrial equipment is desirable.
- Ability to read technical schematics and manuals accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Good communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in electrical work are required.
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
