Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to champion a safe and compliant work environment across our construction projects. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to construction activities, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and other relevant codes.
- Lead risk management initiatives by assessing potential safety risks, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring their effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate safety training sessions for construction teams, emphasizing OSHA compliance, workers' compensation procedures, and safe work practices.
- Oversee incident investigations, document findings thoroughly, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prevent future occurrences.
- Manage compliance documentation using construction management software, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for audits or inspections.
- Collaborate closely with construction management teams to integrate EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) best practices into daily operations and project planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and compliance management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles specific to construction environments.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, occupational health protocols, workers' compensation processes, and construction management software tools.
- Hands-on experience in construction management or construction site supervision is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively train teams and conduct safety briefings or audits.
- Ability to perform detailed site inspections and risk assessments confidently.
