Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Security Guards to join our team for a temporary pipeline security contract in Edson, Alberta. This position follows a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation and is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in remote environments while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.
Accommodation is provided in private bedrooms within a shared condo, and a daily food allowance is included for the duration of your rotation. The successful candidates will be responsible for protecting the worksite, controlling access, conducting patrols, and ensuring the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and property.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the pipeline worksite.
- Monitor the site for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or safety concerns.
- Control access by verifying personnel and visitor credentials.
- Maintain accurate logs of site activity, vehicle entries, and incidents.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security-related incidents.
- Prepare clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, site personnel, and emergency services when required.
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the shift.

Skills & Requirements
- Valid Alberta Security Services Worker Licence.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record (preferred).
- Previous security, industrial, or pipeline experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Physically fit and capable of conducting regular patrols in various weather conditions.
