About BrightCore Electrical
BrightCore Electrical works on high-end custom homes, select commercial projects, lighting control, automation, low-voltage systems, generators, security, AV, and complex electrical installations across the GTA.
We are looking for a serious 2nd to 5th year Electrical Apprentice who wants to learn properly, work cleanly, take direction, and grow with a company that cares about quality, organization, code compliance, and long-term development.
About the Role
The right candidate will assist our licensed electricians and foremen with rough-in, finishing, service work, panel work, lighting, low-voltage wiring, troubleshooting, deficiencies, and project cleanup.
You must be reliable, punctual, organized, respectful, and willing to learn. You should be comfortable working on high-end projects where quality, clean installation, coordination, and attention to detail matter.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential and commercial electrical installations.
- Complete rough-in, finishing, wiring, device installation, lighting, panels, and service-related work under supervision.
- Assist with lighting control, automation, low-voltage wiring, cameras, security, network, speakers, LED lighting, and control systems.
- Read and follow drawings, layouts, specifications, and instructions from the foreman or licensed electrician.
- Pull wire, install boxes, drill, mount devices, terminate where permitted, label wiring, and support installation work properly.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow Ontario Electrical Safety Code requirements, ESA requirements, site rules, and BrightCore standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly with the foreman and office when needed.
- Take daily direction professionally and complete assigned tasks properly.
- Show up prepared, on time, and ready to work.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Electrical Apprentice, 2nd to 5th year.
- Must clearly state your current apprenticeship year.
- Experience in custom residential and/or commercial electrical work.
- Basic ability to read drawings and follow layouts.
- Experience with rough-in, finishing, devices, lighting, panels, troubleshooting, and deficiency work.
- Low-voltage, lighting control, Lutron, Control4, cameras, security, network, or AV experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Own basic hand tools required.
- Valid Working at Heights certification.
- Valid WHMIS certification.
- Valid Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps certification.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and learn quickly.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required depending on project schedule.
