Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead and manage the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. This role is responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing budgets and forecasts, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business decision-making through financial analysis.

What You'll Be Doing
Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple operating and holding companies.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Manage product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASPE), regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Coordinate annual inventory counts and support audit and year-end review processes.
Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and reconciliations.
Identify financial risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting operations and reporting processes.
Partner with leadership and department managers to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team through coaching, performance management, and ongoing development.
What You Must Have
CPA designation.
Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
3+ years of experience in a Controller or senior financial leadership role.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and product costing in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ERP systems such as Infor Visual, Microsoft Business Central, SAP Business One, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Experience leading and developing accounting teams.
