Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Technician Assistant to join our team, responsible for assisting with the deep cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust systems and residential range hoods. The ideal candidate isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, has a strong work ethic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Because we service both residential buildings (daytime) and restaurant environments (nighttime), this role requires high flexibility, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to site prep and safety. - Assist the Lead Technician in the deep cleaning and degreasing of commercial and residential kitchen exhaust hoods, fans, and ductwork.
- Perform meticulous site preparation, including laying drop cloths, putting up poly-sheeting, and ensuring client property is fully protected.
- Manage equipment logistics, including operating mobile hot-soak tanks for filter cleaning and handling heavy-duty commercial degreasers.
- Utilize hand tools, scrapers, and detail brushes to efficiently complete grease removal tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring zero mess is left behind in residential or commercial kitchens after the service.
- Manage time effectively to keep the crew moving swiftly from unit to unit or site to site.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, restoration, exhaust/duct cleaning, or general physical labor is highly preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in environments with heavy grease and dirt.
- High flexibility with scheduling: Must be open to a mix of daytime residential shifts and late-night/after-hours commercial restaurant shifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting bins or equipment up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to protecting client property during jobs.
- Company transportation to job sites is provided via our work trucks, but you must have a reliable way to commute to our starting point/shop for varying day and night shifts.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 25.0 per week
