Alimentaria Mexicana is hiring Seasonal Line Cooks:
Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
- Assist with meal preparation as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Skills:
- Food preparation: Ability to prepare ingredients, measure portions, and follow recipes accurately
- Food service: Knowledge of proper serving techniques and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Food safety: Understanding of food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control
- Restaurant: Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of different stations and roles within the kitchen
- Kitchen: Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools, such as knives, stoves, ovens, etc.
- Meal preparation: Ability to assist in preparing meals according to specified recipes or instructions
- Cook: Experience in cooking various types of dishes, including grilling, sautéing, baking, etc.
- Food industry: Understanding of the overall workings of the food industry, including trends and best practices
- Food handling: Knowledge of safe handling procedures for raw ingredients and cooked food
