Job Summary
Annapolis Royal is a charming, seaside town, richly steeped in culture and heritage. It is truly a dynamic community with growing opportunities, making it a home unparalleled for its residents. With an area of about two square kilometers and a population of approximately 530, the Town operates a small department of full-time, part-time, casual, and auxiliary officers.
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and positive thinking professional with a desire to provide quality police services. Applicants must be a graduate of the Atlantic Police Training Academy or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with PROS and CPIC training, shift scheduling experience, supervisory experience and a minimum of seven years' service training. Candidates must be computer literate and have proficient computer skills (including Excel and Word) and be flexible and highly organized.
Candidates will be required to provide a community-based mobile and foot patrol presence in the community and protect the lives and property of the citizens of Annapolis Royal. In addition, you will also be involved in problem solving, mediation, conflict resolution, public education, and enforcement of federal and provincial laws and municipal by-laws.
Pay: $55,000.00-$69,000.00 per year
