Job Overview
Costumes and Crayons Daycare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (Infant Toddler) to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that supports the growth and development of young children.
We welcome both experienced educators and fresh graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate programs and activities
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of children at all times
- Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional development
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behaviour, and health
- Foster an environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning
- Work collaboratively with educators to enhance classroom experiences
- Ensure compliance with provincial licensing regulations and policies
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) with Infant Toddler (IT) certification – required
- Special Needs certification – an asset
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience in an early childhood setting is preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of child development principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
