Position Overview:
We are currently looking for full time employee to join our design team. In this role, you will assist with creating 3D models, generating fabrication drawings, and supporting the design and production of precast concrete elements using Tekla Structures software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tekla Modeling: Assist in the creation of 3D models for precast concrete components such as walls, beams, columns, and slabs, under the guidance of senior engineers and technicians.
- Drawing Production: Help produce accurate and detailed drawings for precast elements, including reinforcement details, lifting points, and connection details.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers and project teams to review designs and adjust based on project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all models and drawings are consistent with company standards and project specifications.
- Support Production: Assist in providing models and drawings to the production team and help resolve any issues that may arise during fabrication.
- Documentation & Reporting: Help maintain project documentation, including design changes, technical notes, and progress reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Tekla Structures Experience: Some experience using Tekla Structures or a strong willingness to learn and develop your skills with the software. Please Note: Advance Precast Ltd. is willing to train the accepted applicant with the use of Tekla Structures
- Precast Concrete Knowledge: Basic understanding of precast concrete elements and systems is an asset but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and precision in both models and drawings.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD and other design software is beneficial. Familiarity with construction principles and vocabulary is an asset.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and production teams.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
