Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and visitors. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention strategies to ensure the safety of all individuals on site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol all areas of property for internal & external theft, unusual activity, and/or potential security threats. Deter theft.
- Operate and monitor security systems such as alarms & closed-circuit cameras.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
- Identify, document & report all internal/external theft, security violations & potential hazards to Management. Maintain records of incidents.
- Ensure trespass documentation is completed & recorded.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while providing exceptional customer service to all individuals on site.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required to report incidents or assist in investigations.
- Verify customer receipts at the exit & conduct further investigation if necessary.
- Ability to remain calm & composed in stressful situations.
- Conduct regular inspections of security systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Must wear proper uniform & look professional at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid security license.
