Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced 310T Shop Supervisor / Lead Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for a fleet of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. This role is ideal for a licensed 310T Technician looking to stay local while stepping into a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will support shop operations, mentor technicians, coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance, and help ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency across the fleet.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and support a team of technicians within the maintenance shop environment
· Coordinate daily workflow, repairs, preventative maintenance schedules, and shop priorities
· Troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, air brake systems, steering, suspension, and hydraulic components
· Support technician development through mentorship, training, and hands-on guidance
· Ensure work orders, maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation are completed accurately and on time
· Conduct and oversee MTO vehicle safety inspections to ensure regulatory compliance
· Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and OEM software to identify and resolve issues efficiently
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while enforcing workplace health and safety procedures
· Assist with emergency breakdown response and operational support as required
REQUIREMENTS
· Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certificate
· 5+ years of experience within a heavy-duty truck, fleet, or commercial vehicle repair environment
· Approximately 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, lead hand, or mentoring experience within a shop environment
· Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and electrical skills
· Experience working with computerized diagnostic equipment and OEM software
· Valid G Class Driver’s License
· Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities
· Able to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy components as required
