We are seeking Skilled Labourers for our Saskatoon summer crews.
As a Skilled Labourer, you will be working as a team during the summer months maintaining properties right here in Saskatoon and all over Saskatchewan. This is a full-time position. Working hours are 35-55 hours per week with some weekends and overtime work required. This position requires switching from day shift to night shift. This is a great opportunity for new labourers as well as seasoned labourers to gain valuable skillsets.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Responsible for operating power tools and hand tools including, but not limited to - Backpack blowers, sweepers, impact drills, shovels, sledge hammer, etc
- Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project
- Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site
- Additional tasks as required
WHAT YOU BRING
- A Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation
- You are self-motivated, critical thinker that likes to problem solve
- You understand the importance of punctuality, organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work night shift
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75 lbs)
- Ability to work well independently unsupervised
- Past experience with small engines (like lawnmowers) is an asset
