Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist/RMT student or Spa Therapist to join our wellness team. This position is part-time and weekend availability is needed. The ideal candidate will have a medical background- mix of education and experience to provide professional massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology related to health and bodywork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and other modalities.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of massage equipment and treatment areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and wellness practices.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
- Stay informed about new techniques, industry standards, and best practices through ongoing education.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist/Spa Therapist or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, and health conditions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, empathetic approach.
- Certification or licensing as required by state regulations is an asset.
- Prior experience using various massage techniques and modalities is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. This position offers a blended opportunity to work with Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist as assistant as needed and work independently as a bodyworker one on one, depends on the kind of appointment.
