About the Role:
Westcan Scaffolding Inc. is seeking experienced Scaffold Foremen/Women to lead and supervise scaffolding projects across commercial construction sites. This is a full-time, on-site position in a noisy, outdoor environment where your leadership and technical skills will play a critical role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate scaffolding teams and projects
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Train and mentor junior workers on erecting scaffolds and swing stages
- Assist in erecting and dismantling scaffolds when needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Set up and inspect equipment
- Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules
Experience and Education:
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Education: Scaffolding Certificates required
- Specialization: Experience in commercial scaffolding projects
- Supervision: 3–4 Labourers and Trades Helpers
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Must bring own hard hat and steel-toed safety boots
- Able to work under pressure in demanding conditions
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong values, ethics, and team spirit
