Role Overview
McKenzie United Soccer Club is seeking qualified and motivated coaches for CMSA competitive teams. This role is suited for coaches who enjoy player development while competing in a structured league environment across multiple competitive tiers.
Who This Role Is For:
Experienced soccer coaches from any ages or skill level, looking to give back to the game and work with a National youth licensed club, who provides support in coaching development and opportunity.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about soccer and enjoy working with young athletes in a community-based team environment. Coaches in this role typically include students aged 16 and older who are gaining practical coaching experience toward school or post-secondary credit requirements, flexible volunteering work that fits around classes and other commitments.
Also CMSA team coaches work directly with youth players while collaborating closely with parents, volunteer team staff, and junior coaches to create a positive, supportive development experience. Many of our coaches come from backgrounds such as student-athletes, current or former players, education or kinesiology students, and individuals exploring a future in coaching or sport development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured training sessions aligned with team goals and MUSC development philosophy
- Coach CMSA league matches and tournaments
- Develop players technically, tactically, physically, and mentally
- Manage game-day responsibilities including line-ups, substitutions, and match conduct
- Communicate clearly with players, parents, and club technical staff
- Promote sportsmanship and uphold CMSA and MUSC standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Canada Soccer Community or C License (or working toward) preferred
- Experience coaching competitive youth soccer (U10–U19)
- Strong knowledge of game tactics and player development
- Ability to commit to training, matches, and league requirements
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
Compensation
- Honorarium awarded based on coaching certification, competitive level, and experience at the end of the completion of the Outdoor season.
