Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofing and Siding Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with experience in installing and repairing roofing and siding materials. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
- Install and repair siding materials including vinyl, wood, and fiber cement.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Perform caulking and sealing to ensure weatherproofing of structures.
- Conduct inspections of roofs and siding to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other contractors or team members on larger projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials as required throughout the job.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or maintenance person roles with a focus on roofing and siding installation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing and siding work.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to perform precise measurements and cuts.
- Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.
