Job Description:
The candidate would be a member of the full time staff during the weekday and weekend production. This role would provide the opportunity in;
- Fulfilling recipes for all Tre Mari products
- Baking & decorating pastries, cookies, new products
- Assisting in cake decorating and prep
- Refilling the pastry display in store
- Mixing creams
- Cleaning and organizing
- Making syrups
- Baking as required
- Store and rotate products properly
- Help maintain fridge and freezers (cleaning)
- Prep orders for the next day
- Documenting recipes.
- Assisting production staff when needed
- Opportunity to grow into tier cakes, fondant work etc.
Skill Requirements :
The candidate must be have at least 2 years’ experience in a bakery production kitchen, knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques, knowledge of health and safety regulations, great attention to detail, has organizational skills, creative problem solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, willing to learn and work independently.
Desired:
Completion of post secondary education (certificate or diploma), able to learn new techniques quickly, can be punctual for early start times (6am-8am), Food Safety Certificate is an asset, knowledge on Italian baked goods is a bonus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
