About the Role
As a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter, you'll perform inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, installations, and modifications on commercial and industrial fire protection systems throughout Calgary and the surrounding area.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Inspecting, testing, servicing, and repairing fire sprinkler systems
· Troubleshooting system issues and identifying effective repair solutions
· Working on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, standpipe, fire pump, and suppression systems
· Completing sprinkler system modifications, repairs, and additions
· Preparing inspection reports, deficiency reports, and required documentation
· Communicating professionally with customers and providing recommendations
· Maintaining company equipment, tools, and vehicle
· Participating in an on-call rotation
· Occasional out-of-town travel when required
· Following all company and site safety procedures
· Overtime opportunities
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working independently while also being a dependable member of a collaborative team.
Qualifications include:
· Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter certification
· Service experience in commercial fire protection preferred
· Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Comfortable using tablets and mobile devices for electronic reporting
· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, working overhead, and accessing confined spaces
· Ability to obtain security clearance is considered an asset
