Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize basic math skills to process payments and provide change.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products effectively.
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring merchandise is displayed properly.
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette, addressing customer inquiries or directing them as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
Experience
- Previous experience in food retail environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food sales, safety and cleanliness is a plus, as well as an interest in learning about new products.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Proven time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining quality service.
