Duties
- Prepare vehicles for refinishing by sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paints with precision using spray guns and hand tools.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify areas requiring repair or refinishing, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols for handling chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed, leveraging mechanical knowledge to support overall vehicle restoration.
- Lift heavy parts or equipment safely during the refinishing process, following proper ergonomic practices.
Skills
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Familiarity with automotive painting techniques, including masking, sanding, and finishing processes.
- Experience working with automotive repair or collision centers is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
