Site Supervisor
Job Purpose
Assists the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects (time, budget, quality) by supervising and coordinating all on-site activities during construction and commissioning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews and understands specifications and drawings to ensure they are followed closely by all parties working on site.
- Schedule, supervising and coordinating sub trades to ensure that project schedules are followed
- Coordinates set up of site including signage, security/fencing/portable toilet, identifying access and material laydown areas, obtaining and observing adherence to OSCAM permits
- Completes regular site reviews to ensure drawings and specifications are being followed and Effect quality standards are met
- Completes and uploads daily site logs and photos documenting progress
- Provides weekly reporting to the Project Manager on project progress and addressing any project concerns
- Ensures enforcement of the company safety program and policies including contractor site orientations, field level hazard assessments, and proper PPE use.
- Closing off projects in a timely manner by ensure all deficiencies are addressed prior to homeowner possession by following Effect Warranty process.
- Maintain fleet vehicle as per maintenance schedule and safety policy
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a site supervisor in residential construction
- Experience in both new residential construction and renovation projects is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills dealing with homeowners
- Strong communication, time management, and conflict management skills
- Self motivated with ability to work independently
- Trade skills such as rough/finish carpentry, framing, drywalling, etc are considered an asset but not required
- Knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and Alberta New Home Warranty Act
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, details, and specifications
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation
