We work with communities located 6-10 hours’ drive from the Ottawa region. The focus of this aquatics instructor position will be pool activities for youth & adults that engage the community.
Responsibilities:
- Lead pool fitness classes and provide instruction to participants
- Work with community youth to provide engaging aquatics programs
- Work with community adults for intro to fitness and low-impact aquatics training programs
- Demonstrate proper form and technique for exercises
- Ensure a safe and clean workout environment for all participants
- Motivate and encourage participants to achieve their fitness goals
- Monitor participants' progress and make adjustments as needed
- Manage facebook page, registrations and community outreach
- Oversee aquatics operations for the local pool, and communicate with maintenance for all facility needs
Experience:
- CPR and First Aid certification
- National Lifeguard
- Aquatics Instruction or Aqua fitness certification as asset
- Ability to effectively lead a group and provide individualized attention
- Knowledge of various exercise techniques and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- National Lifeguard Trainer or Examiner an asset
Program Overview:
- Aug 15th 2026 start date
- Must be able to travel and stay in the community for extended periods of 12 weeks. (Located 10 Hours north from Ottawa )
- 5 weeks of holidays throughout the year.

- Approx. 40 hours per week with weekend scheduling
- Commensurate Weekly Pay with Food Allowance
- 1 year contract with the possibility of renewal

- Lifeguarding: 3 years (required)
