Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members to achieve their full potential
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Manage merchandising strategies to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotional displays that attract customers and boost sales
- Handle all aspects of sales management, including setting sales targets, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to meet or exceed goals
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, oversee POS (Point of Sale) systems, and ensure proper bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure inventory levels are maintained efficiently while minimizing waste
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement through local campaigns and community outreach
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues effectively, and maintaining high phone etiquette standards
- Monitor budgeting processes to control expenses while maximizing profitability
- Conduct regular team meetings for training & development sessions focused on enhancing sales skills, product knowledge, and organizational skills
Experience
- Proven retail management experience with a strong background in supervising teams within a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated success in sales management with the ability to meet or surpass sales targets through strategic planning and leadership
- Extensive knowledge of merchandising principles, pricing strategies, and POS systems
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting performance evaluations
- Strong administrative skills including bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and record-keeping
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases effectively
- Proficiency in time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy retail setting
- Familiarity with marketing techniques relevant to retail environments as well as phone etiquette for customer interactions
