Position Overview
Apex Precision Inc. is a leader in the field of precision component manufacturing. Reporting directly to the production supervisor, the CNC machinist will thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment. He or she will work closely with programmers and inspectors to develop and deliver precision parts within the specified deadlines.
***Night shift 10:00pm to 6:15am Monday to Friday. Base salary plus shift premium of 5.00$ per hour.
Responsibilities

Perform machine setup (set-up): Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications; set up and adjust machines, tooling, fixtures, and materials according to setup sheets;

Load and review CNC programs and make minor edits as required.

Carry out CNC machining operations: Manufacture parts to specifications using CNC milling machines or lathes; adjust machining parameters (speed, feed, coolant flow) to optimize production efficiency; verify part conformity using precision measuring instruments and coordinate inspections following setup changes.

Ensure quality, safety, and equipment upkeep: Work in a safe and organized manner; inspect machines and perform basic maintenance to ensure proper operation.

Manage documentation and communication: Enter production data (time, quantities) into JobBOSS; complete and sign production documents (travelers); document program or process changes; communicate effectively between shifts and suggest improvements to machining and setup methods.

Support production activities: Deburr and clean parts as required; prepare, clean, and store tools and fixtures; perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in CNC machining milling. Experience in the metalworking or aerospace industry is an asset.

DEP in machining or a related field.

Ability to read technical drawings (GD&T).
