Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter/Operator machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency with Fanuc controls, and experience with CAD and blueprint reading. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring accurate production according to specifications
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and interpret CNC programming language
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models (SolidWorks experience preferred)
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and quality standards
- Select and utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for machine setup or minor repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols
- Assist in the development of machining processes utilizing lean manufacturing principles
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks when required
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience with CNC milling machines, including setup and operation
- Measurements tap
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls and basic CNC programming skills
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models (SolidWorks experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing standards, quality control, and precision measurement tools such as calipers
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances
- Familiarity with CNC lathe operations is advantageous but not required
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:
