Job Title: Production Technician
Job Type: Full Time, Contract (6 Months)

Position Overview:
The position of the Production Technician is responsible for participating in and maintaining workflow for each step of the Post-Harvest Production. They're responsible for safely operating basic machinery, performing repetitive tasks, and using fine hand dexterity. The Production Technician will also be required to perform general housekeeping and room cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate basic machinery
- Perform regular cleaning, organization and maintenance of machinery and lab equipment
- Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to keep accurate production documents per GMP guidelines under the Cannabis Regulations Act (SOR/2018-144)
- Participate in and maintain workflow for each step of the Post Harvest Production process
- Retain record keeping control documents over starting materials, intermediates and finished products
- Dispose of waste, maintain a clean and tidy workspace, performing general housekeeping as required
- Maintain flexibility and the ability to adopt variable working hours according to production needs
- Ability to work as a team and support end of day tasks
- Support overtime at short notice
- Ability to meet production standards based on yearly averages/ units per hour
- All other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- High school diploma and/or equivalent GED required
- Previous production experience is an asset
- Must pass criminal background checks
Skills & Abilities
- Must show meticulous attention to detail and strong documentation practices
- Light to moderate lifting (25-50 lbs); heavier weights with assistance
- Ability to work in climate-controlled conditions with short periods of exposure to non-controlled conditions
- Exposure to noisy environment due to loud machinery and secured areas
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to do fine motor skill work with hands
- Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching
