Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Tool Rental Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with tool rentals, providing technical advice, and ensuring the proper maintenance and organization of rental equipment. Duties
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate tools and equipment for their needs, providing expert advice on usage and safety.
- Operate and demonstrate various power tools, hand tools, and equipment to customers.
- Maintain accurate rental records, process transactions, and handle payments efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs on rental tools to ensure safety and functionality.
- Manage inventory levels by organizing tools on shelves, restocking supplies, and tracking rental equipment.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues with equipment or assist customers with complex repairs.
- Promote sales of additional rental items or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during all operations.
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and schematics is essential for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Strong customer service skills are necessary to assist clients effectively and professionally.
- Familiarity with sales techniques related to tool rentals or retail environments is beneficial.
- Previous mechanic experience or background in automotive repair can enhance the ability to assist customers with technical questions.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and operate various power tools confidently is required for success in this role.
