Responsibilities
- Measure and assess installation sites to ensure proper fit and alignment of doors and windows
- Remove old or damaged exterior doors and windows safely and efficiently
- Install new doors and windows according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, glass installation techniques, and fabrication methods to complete installations
- Perform caulking, sealing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation to ensure weather-tight finishes
- Conduct heavy lifting of doors, windows, framing materials, and related components safely
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation processes
- Coordinate with team members on construction site projects for seamless execution
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety standards
- Troubleshoot issues during installation and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on exterior door and window installation
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, carpentry, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings effectively
- Knowledge of glass installation, fixture mounting, cabinet installation, remodeling, and construction painting is highly desirable
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely
- Familiarity with schematics related to door hanging, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and remodeling projects
- Prior handyman experience or construction estimating skills are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation preferred
