Medical Office Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Experience with electronic health record systems and strong office skills are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage rescheduling as needed.
- Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls appropriately.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments.
- Prepare patient charts and documentation for clinical staff.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Support the dental or medical team with clerical duties to ensure efficient workflow.
- Handle correspondence and communication with patients via phone, email, or mail.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Oscar
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Oscar software is a plus.
- Strong office experience, including front desk operations and administrative tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems effectively.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems is required.

Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour
