We're accepting applications now and will begin active recruitment in September/October 2026.
Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination. Multiple boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities, all under one roof, for one membership. We bring together the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full service club, and we deliver an experience that members build their week around. We are the membership members actually use. Everything we do is designed to deliver a premium member experience.
We are looking for a Paddle Coach who brings both technical knowledge and real energy to the court. Someone who can run a structured clinic with purpose and turn an open play session into something players of every level want to come back to. For many Altea members, this role will be their introduction to padel. How you show up shapes whether the sport takes root inside the club. This is a volunteer role, compensated with a complimentary Altea membership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead Structured Clinics. Skill-based padel programming for all levels. Beginners build confidence. Developing players sharpen technique. Everyone leaves with something they can use.
- Facilitate Open Play. Organized, well-paced sessions where court rotation is managed fairly and every participant feels welcome on the court.
- Grow the Community. Padel is new for many members. You introduce people to the sport, build excitement around it, and create the kind of court culture that makes them stay.
- Represent the Standard. Your professionalism, preparation, and care for participants reflects the club in every session you run.
WHO YOU ARE
You do not need to be a touring professional. You need to know the game well, love sharing it, and be the kind of person who makes every player feel exactly where they should be.
- You are patient and technically grounded. You break the game down for beginners and challenge experienced players, and both leave better.
- You show up prepared. Your clinics have a plan. Your courts are set up before the first player arrives.
- You are community-minded. Padel is inherently social and you lean into that fully. You introduce people and create a court atmosphere that feels like a community.
- You are proud of where you play. How you present yourself, communicate, and conduct yourself reflects Altea.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Demonstrated padel experience playing, coaching, or facilitating at any level
- Comfortable leading groups of mixed abilities in both clinic and open play formats
- Warm, clear communicator who builds an inclusive and energizing court environment
- Padel Canada certification or equivalent is an asset but not required
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually
- Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement
WHAT YOU'LL EARN
This is a volunteer position. In recognition of your contribution to the Altea community, you will receive a complimentary individual Altea membership for the duration of your active volunteer commitment.
