Osco Mudjacking & Construction Ltd. has an immediate opening for an experienced Construction Estimator. An Engineering degree / diploma with civil background and experience in underground construction is required for this position.
This position will provide estimation and sales for Osco's services including Pipe Grouting, Mudjacking / Polyjacking, Crack Injection, Concrete Repair, and Concrete Replacement. We deal with the commercial, industrial and residential sectors as well as governments at all levels.
We require an individual who can assist our team with the following duties and responsibilities:
- Source and identify work opportunities via electronic websites, plan rooms and job sites and increase sales.
- Read and interpret tenders, blueprints, specifications and do take-offs.
- Complete all quotes, tenders, bids and their associated documents with computer software including Word and Excel.
- Liaise with management and other estimators to review pre-bid job challenges and technical requirements.
- Produce job specifications and procedures.
- Determine proper materials to be used on each project.
- Confirm jobs plans meet company policies and applicable regulations.
- Act as project supervisor on their jobs as required.
- Work alongside field team to ensure all stages of project are executed at the highest of standards, adhering to tight deadlines for multiple projects at a time
- Under direction of management team, communicate with customers to provide technical support and professional expertise as needed.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Engineering degree / diploma with related experience preferably with strong civil background.
- Fluency in writing and speaking English to ensure safety and optimal job results.
- High proficiency using Word and Excel.
