As a project assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting engineering project delivery, focusing on document preparation, quality control and team support, while also helping keep the Calgary office running smoothly. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, project managers and technical specialists, providing support throughout the project life cycle.
You’ll also support office operations, including reception, visitor coordination, communications, meeting logistics and general administrative. You’ll need to be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, with strong written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Support engineering teams in preparing and delivering high-quality project deliverables, from proposal development to project closeout
- Prepare, format, edit, proofread and quality-check reports, proposals, correspondence, presentations and client deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with corporate and client standards
- Assemble electronic documents so they are ready for final submittal
- Assist in the final issuance of deliverables
- Maintain and track project quality documentation throughout the project life cycle
- Carry out reception duties, including but not limited to:
- Answering, filtering and forwarding telephone calls
- Managing visitor office accesses
- Managing mail and couriers
- Managing office inventory and placing orders, as needed
- Supporting employee requests and, where necessary, referring employees to the appropriate resource
- Scheduling meetings, lunches and other administrative activities

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- Highly proficient with Word, Excel and other MS Office Suite software
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
- Exceptional written English skills, including proofreading, grammar and document editing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong communication and soft skills
- Asset: experience supporting consulting engineering, professional services, legal, accounting or other project-based environments
- Asset: proficient in a second language (French, Spanish)
