Hotshot Coffee Sleeves (coffeesleeves.ca / hotshotsleeves.com) is looking for a vibrant and energetic person to join our growing Graphic Design & Customer Service team. Hotshot manufactures high quality custom branded cup sleeves, double wall cups, and plastic cups for both Canadian and USA customers. Clients include coffee chains, restaurants, hotels, advertising agencies and product distributors. Hotshot is one of the top producers of cup sleeves in North America ,and we are known for our high quality, quick turnaround and excellent service.
This position requires working in a fairly fast paced environment with lots of interaction with clients both via email and telephone. You will be assisting customers from all over North America and from different business types.
About 70% of the time will be spent on Graphic Design/Prepress preparing files and proofs for coffee sleeves, double wall cups and plastic cups. About 30% of the time will be spent on CSR type job functions.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
- Use programs including Adobe Illustrator (Primary application), Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat
- Receive print ready artwork and review overall quality, colour, resolution, etc and correct if necessary
- Create new composite final artwork for coffee sleeves, double wall cups and plastic cups based on client instructions (graphic design/layout skills required)
- Prepare customer supplied files for offset and digital printing
- Communicate with internal CSRs regarding artwork files (sometimes with clients directly) and prepare PDF proofs
- Email proofs directly to customers.
- Update job workflow software through production steps
Customer Service and Order Entry
- Receive and respond to emails with respect to product questions
- Provide pricing and quotations to both Canadian and USA customers from established price lists
- Calculate custom pricing for some coffee sleeve orders
- Entering new orders into work order systems including Quickbooks Online and Monday.com
- Determine shipping rates using UPS and other online systems
- Process customer payments using online credit card system or Paypal
- Discuss job particulars with graphic design department regarding graphic requirements needed
- Liaise between graphics department and customer by sending proofs via email and overseeing client changes to graphics
Requirements
- Very strong Adobe Illustrator skills is a must! You will use Illustrator extensively
- Thorough knowledge of the Adobe CS Suite (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
- Graphic design experience for creating new concepts for client
- Understanding of prepress concepts including colour spaces (CMYK, Pantone), image resolution, etc
- Must legally be able to work in Canada
- Excellent English and strong communication skills- spoken and written
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills- organizing emails, quotations, follow up, etc
- Proficiency with email programs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc
- Previous work in a printing company or graphic design company is a bonus
Salary is based on experience.
