Position Summary:
Inukshuk Enterprises Ltd. is seeking an experienced Oil Burner Mechanic to install, service, and maintain oil-fired heating systems across residential, commercial, and institutional facilities in a northern environment. This role is critical to ensuring reliable heating operations in extreme weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair oil-fired boilers, furnaces, and related systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system diagnostics
- Clean and service burners, fuel systems, chimneys, and ventilation components
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate service records and report deficiencies
Qualifications:
- Certified Oil Burner Mechanic (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of hydronic and forced-air heating systems
- Experience working in remote or northern environments considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Valid driver’s licence
