Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas meet cleanliness standards, coordinate cleaning staff, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a solid background in custodial services and facilities maintenance. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a key role in working with the Housekeeping Manager on delivering exceptional service and maintaining the overall appearance and safety of our premises.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and use of equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and cleaning supplies
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and safety regulations
- Utilize facilities maintenance skills to troubleshoot minor issues with cleaning equipment or fixtures
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, including custodial tools and heavy-duty power tools
- Schedule staff shifts effectively to meet operational needs while adhering to time management best practices
- Address customer service concerns promptly, ensuring guest or client satisfaction with cleanliness standards
- Enforce safety procedures related to heavy lifting, use of hand tools, and other custodial tasks
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and safety compliance
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and the operation of hand tools and power tools used in custodial work
- Strong background in managing cleaning teams within commercial or institutional settings
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead staff and interact with clients or guests
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while overseeing multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as required for custodial duties
- Prior experience using various cleaning techniques and equipment to achieve high standards of cleanliness
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
