Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer, Framer and Tapers to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall trade, with additional experience in related trades such as carpentry, painting, and handyman work. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the creation of quality interior spaces. Applicants should be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of reading blueprints and following safety protocols to ensure efficient and precise work.
Duties
Drywall Installer
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets
- Install drywall on walls and ceilings
- Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Steel Framer
- Layout and install steel stud framing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Install backing, bulkheads, soffits, and structural framing components
- Work closely with site supervisors and project managers
Taper / Finisher
- Apply tape, compound, and finishing coats
- Sand and prepare surfaces for paint-ready finishes
- Repair imperfections and ensure high-quality finishes
- Maintain production schedules while delivering excellent workmanship
Skills
- Experience in drywall installation, steel stud framing, or taping
- Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Knowledge of construction painting, carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools used in drywall work
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
