Automotive Sales Consultant Job Description
Summary
Terra Nova Mazda is looking for a qualified Automotive Sales Consultant to join our Gander or Grand Falls-Windsor team. The successful candidate would be required to sell trucks, SUVs and cars by understanding and demonstrating vehicle characteristics and features, while matching our valuable clientele with the proper vehicle to meet and satisfy their needs. As the online customer experience is becoming increasingly important, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate strong skills in both traditional and digital sales.
Responsibilities
- Understands vehicles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models
- Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers; evaluating trade-ins; meeting and interviewing prospective clients; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions.
- Qualifies buyers by understanding client's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport.
- Demonstrates vehicles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking demonstration drives; explaining warranties and services.
- Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing; collects payment; delivers vehicle.
- Provides sales management information by completing required data entry into the internal client management system.
- Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and GM required training.
- Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership of actions and Clientele.
Salesperson Qualifications and Skills
· Business Degree or equivalent experience
· Strong computer and modern technology skills
· Excellent customer service ability
Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
