Heavy Duty Tow Truck DriverJob Summary
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting disabled or damaged vehicles and providing roadside assistance services to customers in a professional and timely manner. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate heavy-duty towing equipment in a variety of conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty tow trucks, semi trucks, Landoll trailers, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport disabled, damaged, or impounded vehicles in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, including jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and recoveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding service details and estimated arrival times.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during stressful situations.
- Assist stranded motorists with minor mechanical repairs when possible.
- Follow all company safety policies and provincial transportation regulations at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
- Able to operate, Tow Truck, Semi , Landoll Trailer,
- Must be able to operate manual transmission
- Experience operating heavy-duty tow trucks and Landoll trailers is required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License required.
- Valid Ontario Tow Operator License required.
- Familiarity with automotive repair and recovery procedures is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in various weather and road conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
